Meet the Teams

Both are lifelong residents of Gatesville. They are the proud parents of two grown daughters and grandparents to five grandsons.

They love dancing to old honkey tonk music. In their free time, they also enjoy camping, playing 42, and anything that pertains to cows.

Cindi is the owner and operator of Cindi McDonald Floral Designs. Allen works for A&M Research Center in McGregor (wild! because they are both Longhorn fans at heart! Hook ’em!)

On the night of the competition (11/19/2022), it will be their 34th anniversary!

Lifelong Gatesville residents, Cody and Erika are first generation ranchers who raise sheep and cattle.

They have two wonderful children, Kylee and Clancy, who they chase around at 4-H and sporting events.

TEAM ARCHIE loves sharing their love for Jesus, advocating for agriculture, and making people laugh on TikTok.

Cody & Erika own and operate Valet Cleaners & Laundry. Erika, also, works for USDA Rural Development in Public Affairs.

Cody & Erika’s “no fun, just normal” posts have made them social media celebs. With 512K+ followers, they will be bringing the heat to the stage on November 19th.

This Tarleton Texan and Texas Aggie met each other through mutual friend at Texas Farm Bureau Insurance and have been married since 2019. Cort is a lifelong resident of Gatesville. Although Kylie is a Gatesville transplant, she has deep Gatesville roots as her dad, Lynn Glass, is a Hornet through and through. They now live in Gatesville and enjoy involvement at Gatesville Country Club. They have 2 dogs, Shiner and Jax.

In Cort and Kylie’s spare time they are on a quest to catch the biggest fish, spending time with family, golfing, playing tennis, real estate remodeling, traveling and pursuing all things outdoors.

Kylie is a Loan Officer for Benchmark Mortgage out of the Waco Branch and Cort is an Insurance Agent with Ward & Moore Insurance.

The Dixon’s first date was spent dancing the night away at a country music concert.

These energetic, community loving Gatesville transplants have been married for 16 years. Elliot & Katie have six children ranging in ages of fifteen to four. Outside of their home, they have made an impact on immeasurable number of Gatesville former and current youth.

They are teachers at Gatesville High School. The two have taught here for the last 15 years although Katie is now pursuing a career as an RN. In addition to teaching, they have coached cross country and track over the years. They have also brought the summer track program back to Gatesville youth. To add to their already busy lives, the Kelleys own their own business in race timing called Rapid Event Timing.

Elliot and Katie enjoy all outdoor activities. They also love dancing. Matter of fact, it was actually how they connected when they first met. Today, their kids keep them busy, but they wouldn’t have it any other way.

One of our favorite things to do together when given the opportunity is to find a space to just dance.

Amber is studying to become a real estate agent & currently works at Gatesville elementary. Brad is Vice General Chairman for the IBEW and raises Dorper sheep, & cattle. They also raise Texas Lacy dogs.

Only dated 6 months before marriage over 27 years ago.

Clayton and Stephanie Landua reside in Pearl, Tx.

Stephanie is your local and mobile Lash Artist, enhancing your everyday Rad Reflections based in Gatesville at Two 2 Tangle salon. When not assisting clients she’s working at their home in Pearl, ”Landua Acres” she enjoys spending time with her horse Penny, the sheep they raise, praising Jesus, shooting, and touring with her hubs.

Clayton Landua is a singer/songwriter and the front man of the Texas Country group called Six Market Blvd. still playing shows from time to time so catch one when you can. Clayton also runs a roofing company with a business partner at API Roofing and Exteriors LLC.

Stephanie and Clayton first met when Clayton was invited to speak at Stephanie‘s hometown church during a buck out event. They were introduced to each other by Stephanie’s mom and her younger brother at different times. Neither her brother or mom knew each other’s plans. However, God did He is good!

They love taking trips to the coast, fishing, and snow skiing trips at any given opportunity.

Clayton has a blatant disregard for lettuce under the guacamole, and Stephanie wishes she didn’t order the miso soup.
