Meet the 2023 Teams

James & Sherry met in Caldwell, TX and moved to Gatesville in July of 2022 because they needed a change. They love it here! They married December 29, 2007, and have 3 children, all boys.  They also enjoy their to grandsons!  James is the GSM at Jim Turner Chevrolet in McGregor, TX.  He has been there going on 4 years now.  Sherry is an aide at Gatesville Elementary School and works for Gatesville ISD transportation.  

James & Sherry love to fish and hunt.  They enjoy each other’s company along with family time and love to be silly and have fun!

The Tippits began dating in 2016 and got married in January of 2019.  They have 4 children; 1 girl and 3 wild boys. 

Tabitha is the Assistant Director of Nurses at Hillside Medical Lodge and Aaron is a mechanic for the Highway Department.  In their free time, they love to be outdoors hunting, fishing, hiking, and anything else that involves the outdoors!   

Tabitha loves naps; she can literally sleep anywhere! Aaron, on the other hand, LOVES to cook!  

The Garvins have been in Gatesville all of their lives; in fact, Candi was born at Coryell Health (formerly Coryell Memorial).  

David is a master electrician and works for Brit/Cor, Inc. here in town. They work on commercial sites like Taco Bell, Chick-Fil-A, etc.

Candi is wrapping up her 17th year in education.  She taught 4th grade at Gatesville Intermediate for many years and is now the librarian there.  Candi also maintains the campus’ social media networks.  

The Garvins have a daughter, Brynn, who is 10, finishing up her 4th grade year, and a bundle of fun! 

David likes to think of himself as an amateur archaeologist (history buff, especially when it comes to Coryell County). 

Candi’s favorite day of the week is Monday!! Why?! Because she never knows what her students have experienced over the weekend and they may really need to see her smiling face.  

Fun Fact Extra: David’s mom also served in education at Gatesville ISD for many years and had most of us as students! 

These energetic, community loving Gatesville residents got married in 2019 and are enjoying retirement to the fullest!  They have 4 kids and 6 grandkids. 

The Lyles are active members of Trinity Baptist Church and love to be active in the community. They love dancing, church, and traveling. 

Frank is currently a senior softball player and travels to tournaments regularly.  When they aren’t keeping up with grandkids, they are managing multiple rental properties that they own here in Gatesville and Georgetown. 

Frank & Sue met at a dance hall in 2016 while Frank was in town for a softball tournament.  They both love to dance and are looking forward to DWTS of CTX! 

Andy & Camri are residents of Gatesville and have 2 girls, Gemma & Jolee. 

Andy wears several hats that include serving as a range and wildlife consultant for Cross Timbers Wildlife Management Service, as a real estate agent with Front Porch Realty, and as a land transaction manager for the Texas Agricultural Land Trust.  Camri works for Stermer Law as a paralegal and office manager. 

They are looking forward to competing in the DWTS o CTX competition! 

The James’ first date was to an American Aquarium concert in Stephenville.

Josh & Ashlee are lifelong Gatesville natives! They have 2 children, Jemma & Jianna. 

Josh is a personal trainer and trains at Anytime Fitness. Ashlee owns and operates Hydration Therapy here in Gatesville.  

They love working together as a team and helping people in their community achieve their fitness and wellness goals! 

Josh & Ashlee both train and compete in bodybuilding competitions!
